Unit Plays:

Texas Tech @ Colorado
1 unit on Colorado (+7), 1.5 units on Under 48.

Texas Tech has not fared well in Boulder since the formation of the Big 12, losing by an average of 15 points per game. This isn't the same Colorado team as before, but they still have a pretty good defense. This isn't one of the best Leach teams, and after a tough loss last week at home, it could be a tough on in Boulder. Texas Tech won't put up a ton of points against Colorado as the Buffs keep it close and the score low.

Baylor @ Texas
1 unit on Texas (-26.5)

Texas is 7-0 straight up and 6-1 against the spread coming out of the Red River Shootout the past seven years. Five of those games were coming off of losses, but Texas should have a lot of momentum this year after the win. I'm not really impressed with the Texas offense, but they should be able to pull away from Baylor in the second half in the battle for the Big 12 South lead.

Other Big 12 football picks:

Missouri 30, Texas A&M 23. Chase Daniel keeps the Tigers unbeaten as Franccione is another game away from getting the can.

Nebraska 24, Kansas State 14. Nebraska will get another conference win in Manhattan in the weak North division. Freeman could build off momentum in the comeback against the Cowboys, and that's what kept this one out of the unit plays.

Kansas 31, Oklahoma State 28. Kansas takes away OSU's hope for a bowl game in this one with the home field advantage being the difference.

Oklahoma 31, Iowa State 17. This could really be a great game or be a really bad blowout. Not sure what to expect from the Sooners. Most Stoops teams would toughen up and play harder, but most Stoops teams have beaten Texas and aren't starting from scratch on toughness.

Great Plains Sports is up 3 units on the season.
