NCAA Tournament Recap: #9 Texas A&M vs #8 BYU

West Regional Matchup

No. 9 Texas A&M (24-9) 79, No. 8 BYU (25-8) 66

Key Moment: The Aggies made their first 10 shots and shot a tournament-record 57.7 percent from the field.
High Point Scorers: A&M -- Bryan Davis 21  BYU -- Jimmer Fredette 18
Analysis: The Aggies were just too athletic and immediately pushed BYU out of the way pretty easily. If the Cougars were looking for a measure of payback from last year's first-round loss to A&M, that was erased in the early moments. A&M is one of the hotter teams in the country.
What's Next: The Aggies advance to the second round No. 1 Connecticut, which ambushed No. 16 Chattanooga, 103-47. A&M must control tempo and get another standout game from point guard Donald Sloan who finished with 14 points and 7 assists.
