NCAA Tournament Recap: #8 Oklahoma St. vs #9 Tennesee

East Regional Matchup

No. 8 Oklahoma State (23-11) 77, No. 9 Tennessee (21-13) 75

Key Moment: Cowboys senior point Byron Eaton completed a 3-point play with 7.2 seconds left for the winning score.
High Point Scorers: Oklahoma State -- Eaton 20  Tennessee -- Tyler Smith 21
Analysis: This was about as good of an 8-9 game as you would expect. It went back-and-forth with three lead changes inside the final minute. But Tennessee's problem is that it lived at the 3-point line too much with 33 of it s 56 attempts from there. Wayne Chism was not very effective with 11 points. Meanwhile Oklahoma State shot 56 percent.
What's Next: The Cowboys advance to the second round on Sunday and face No. 1 seed Pittsburgh, which struggled but held off No. 16 seed East Tennessee State 72-62. For OSU to pull the upset, it's going to need another strong performance from Eaton and emerging forward Marshall Moses. They are also going to have to do something with Pittsburgh's imposing presence of Sam Young and DeJuan Blair, who combined for 41 points on Friday. Young and Blair have been great all season.
