NCAA Tournament Recap: #3 Kansas vs #14 N. Dakota State

West Regional Matchup

No. 3 Kansas (26-7) 84, No. 14 North Dakota State (26-7) 74

Key Moment: Cole Aldrich's 3-point play with a little more than two minutes remaining sealed the defending national champions seventh consecutive NCAA tournament game.
High Point Scorers: Kansas -- Sherron Collins 32  North Dakota State -- Ben Woodside 37
Analysis: You knew the Jayhawks were going to have to fight to win this game. North Dakota State had the momentum of its first bid and a huge crowd support behind it. Woodside turned a lot of heads with his performance. Lucky for the Jayhawks their big two in Collins and Aldrich (23 points) matched it. Survive and advance.
What's Next: The Jayhawks advance to the second round on Sunday and will meet No. 11 seed Dayton which upset No. 6 West Virginia, 68-60. This young KU squad is learning how to win -- if you can really say that -- but keep in mind it is a new starting lineup. Dayton has a proud basketball tradition. Sophomore forward Chris Wright scored a season-high 27 points.
