The 4-0 Jayhawks open the conference season against 3-2 Iowa State. The Cyclones opened their Big 12 season with a 24-23 loss at home to Kansas State. Iowa State QB Austen Arnaud has struggled throughout the season but had a good game against K-State. Arnaud threw for 164 yards and two touchdowns and also ran for 84 yards and a score
Jayhawk QB Todd Reesing should have a big day against a suspect Cyclone defense. Head Coach Mark Mangino will have to keep his team focused as they will be heavy favorites in their next two contests before hosting Oklahoma on October 24 th.
